Julia Blake I'm not working on anything new at the moment. I have lots of plot lines and character ideas, but nothing concrete. I've been concentrating on promoting Eve and editing already written work ready for publication.
Julia Blake The voices in my head, literally, it's like I constantly have a story, or sometimes lots of stories, rampaging around my mind, the trick is to get them down in some kind of order.
Julia Blake At the moment I am in the final editing stages of my environmental science fiction novella due to be released on Kindle early March. I am very excited about it, as it's a complete departure from Eve.
Julia Blake Persevere, keep writing, grow a hide as thick as a rhinos - you're going to need it, if you're not already proficient at the tools of writing i.e. spelling, punctuation, grammar, then either take a course or enlist the services of someone who is to proof all your work, use social media to the utmost - get yourself out there, there's a whole world of free publicity so use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Wattpad, Goodreads and anything else you can find. It's all about spreading the word.
Julia Blake Being able to create the books and stories you want to read.
Julia Blake As time to write is such a precious commodity for me, what with working full time and raising a daughter, when I do sit down to write it's like a tap has been turned on and all the thoughts and conversations that have been banging around in my head for days, screaming for release, come flooding out. Writers block is, thankfully, something I've never had to deal with.
Julia Blake Without a doubt Beatrice and Benedict from Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. I love the merry war they wage at the beginning, the way they think they've been tricked into admitting their love for each other when really it was obvious right from the start how crazy they were for one another.
