Danielle Urban My advice for aspiring writers is to study your genre. Stick with what you know best when it comes to writing. Also, write a little each day to keep your talents following. You can always re-use story plot lines or characters for something new and make a great new novel or book. Never give up, even when no one seems to think your work is great. Because many authors who are now best-sellers have faced that issue as well and their not so great novel is selling. Because they didn't give up on writing. Another piece of advice is to use social media to your advantage. Such as Facebook, Google, Amazon, Amazon Author Page, Facebook Author Page, Twitter, Tumblr, and WordPress. These social media outlets are free to use daily and are easy to gain attention the new writing need for their works. As well as gaining followers fast.
Danielle Urban I get inspired to write by how I feel, what I see or what I hear.
Danielle Urban That is a great question.. I am not sure. I think it was just at a random moment of just jotting down what was coming forth from my mind onto the paper at the time.
Danielle Urban I am currently working on a YA novel. The novel is called, Shadow Lane. It's about three high school students. Two are best friends and the third is their enemy. The two best friends are completely unaware of their enemy's plan to lure them in doing what she needed in order to haunt them from the Shadow Realm as a Shadow. The Shadow Realm is know as Shadow Lane in the real world. And as a shadow their enemy plans her revenge upon the two friends. But will they survive the tortures she brings on them and can they stop her before she gets worse?
Danielle Urban The best thing about being a writer is knowing that others are interested in reading what you have spent so much time to write for their enjoyment. It's the best feeling an author can get.
Danielle Urban I deal with writer's block by taking a break from writing to read books within my favorite genre. This helps refuel my brain with more ideas on how to continue my own writing.
