Thanks for the question, Jessyca. To make a very long story short- yes, I have confronted my father. Years ago I wrote him a letter detailing how the things he had done to me had impacted my life. It was one of the hardest letters that I ever wrote, but also one of the most empowering. He wrote me back which was something I hadn't expected and wasn't prepared for. He's never apologized or admitted wrongdoing and I'm fairly certain he never will. However, I'm at a place in my life where I no longer need him to. I've forgiven him, but it was a very long and grueling process.
