Keep writing! The best way to get better is to write a lot of things. They will suck at first, you'll learn what works better, and each project will suck less. Eventually you'll be ready to publish and your work will be well received. Lots of people will tell you insider secrets about the best process but the reality is, you have to figure out what works for you because only you can. In the end, the best way to get published or sell your work is to write a good story. Good stories sell.

70% done with revisions on a paranormal thriller and brewing a ghost story and a science fiction/fantasy tale on the back burners. I usually have more stories queued up to writer than I have hours in a month to write.

For me, writer's block is all in the mind of the author and not a real thing. If I've been avoiding a particular scene, I recognize it and force my butt in the chair until it's done. Usually I've procrastinated so long that my subconscious has already figured it out. Once I start writing, it usually flows. It is that chasm between myself and getting into the chair in front of the keyboard that is the hardest to overcome in most cases.
