Returning from an business trip to Africa with a lucrative contract was supposed to begin a period of great prosperity. However, seeing his entire family die from an incurable disease made him wish he never went.

This was not a particular problem. I wrote my thoughts on a subject (albeit over the course of two years with many long breaks between any additions), asked a couple of people for their thoughts, and published.

For my Efficiency Guide it was observing all those who waste time for themselves and others that inspired me. I am not saying I always follow my own advice, but I try to, and I hope I can reach out to others and improve their work and use of limited time.
