I don't think there is a universal answer to this question. I believe the source of inspiration is different for each author. For me, it's life itself, that is full of stories, adventures and magic. I wake up every morning and marvel at my life and everything that surrounds it. At times it all seems surreal, and I wonder if I'd been here before. What really inspires me is the idea of leaving a legacy behind.
