Just do it. Make a daily habit of writing for a specific amount of time or word count or whatever works for you, and then stick to it. Even if it's only a small amount each day, you'll be surprised how quickly things move along. The real trick is just forcing yourself to be consistent. What I do is schedule a specific time, like an appointment to do this. Even when I don't feel like it, if I force myself to get started, I am "into it" shortly after. Never give up. Picture yourself holding your new book. And the day will come that you will.
