Sometimes when I am speaking my words become jumbled or my point is not made as concisely and poetically as I would like. Language is so beautiful- I love being able to pour out my thoughts and feelings on paper and know that I can either tear it up at the end or rework it until it flows just the way I want it to.

Life! I pick up all kinds of details from people I meet- the way their hair shines in the light, the movement of their body, the words they use when they speak. I use all these moments to build my characters and to make them feel real.
