Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Tina Martel It didn't start as a book, it started as a sketchbook, then evolved. I often tell people I am an artist who accidently wrote a book.

Tina Martel I am back in my studio working on some illustrations and sketchbooks!

Tina Martel I am looking for some myself.... any advice???

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Tina Martel Right now... it is the wonderful feedback I am getting about my book. The idea that I can touch people, move them, make them laugh, make them cry...have them relate to my experience.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Tina Martel As Not in the Pink is my first book it hasn't been anything I have experienced...yet. I imagine it is the same as having "artist" block. As a visual artist I have had that many times. I go back into my studio and make something...anything...as long as I create something. The very "act of creating" seems to dissolve the block.
