Edward Farber Good grief, the freezer is broken. What do I do with her body now?
Edward Farber I am currently working on a sequel (or rather a prequel) to my novel Baron & Brannigan. The title is: The Rover, Early Adventures of Charles "Doc" Noble, a Novella. Doc Noble is the proprietor of a medicine show in the 1890s when we first meet him in Baron & Brannigan. The new novella covers his early life following the Civil War. Believing that the Union Army considers him a deserter, he travels under the name Charlie Bell from the battlefields of Georgia across the south to the Mississippi River, up to St. Louis and then to the untamed Indian Territory of Kansas where he mixes with Bill Cody, becomes an Army scout and buffalo hunter and acquires the wanderlust that defines the rest of his life.

Edward Farber If you're an aspiring writer, never be satisfied with your first draft of a story. Or the second. The first rush of words may not always be the best you can do. My advice would be to get that first "rush" down, put it away for a while, then come back to reread and, most importantly, rewrite.
Edward Farber Having been a disc jockey with a record program on a local radio station early in life, I wondered how a song became a hit before there were records or radio. In researching the music industry, I learned that in the 1890s published sheet music was the path to fame and fortune for songwriters. I became interested in this time period discovering it to be a fascinating era. This research led to the writing of my Baron & Brannigan Series of novels: Baron & Brannigan, Book 1 Song and Dance and the newest novel, Brannigan's Quest, Book 2 in the series, both available in ebook or paperback.
