Thanks for reaching out. I very rarely scroll down this far on Goodreads and I have been very busy the past few weeks.

So yes you are right, it is a very personal story, and is actually a series that I already wrote, I am just bringing each book to market every three or four months.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Christopher Dean I have a landscaping company, so I just landscape and work with my hands and get dirty. Nothing like letting the plants and trees talk to you about what to write...

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Christopher Dean Creating stories and playing around with words is what I find the most exciting.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Christopher Dean Read, write, read, write; then revise, then read some more and if you have a chance go work with your hands and clear your head and then come back again renewed and revived. All great bodies of literature take time to write. There is no quick success. It also helps to love the art of writing. Without that then the inadequate feelings and isolation takes too heavy a toll. You have to love what you're writing.

What are you currently working on?
Christopher Dean I am currently working on my Trankarri series. Book two - The Masterpiece is just about done. Now it is on the board for a revision and rewrite. It will take me another year to add skin and muscles to the bones and make it something really special.

How do you get inspired to write?
Christopher Dean I write what I want to read. C.S.Lewis and Tolkien and Rowling have been big inspirations. I think their imaginations along with Disney and Lucas are completely awesome. They all have the ability to take you to a world that you want to go and in some odd way can't get enough of.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Christopher Dean I got my idea for my book Trankarri - The Boy with a Magical Pen from a pen and ink drawing I did in high school over twenty years ago.
