Messy Mandy Presents: The Lunchtime Chronicles! Mandy and her friends are hilarious. I love the shenanigans and the antics of these characters.
Men of Endurance series, Endurance, California. This small town feels like the perfect safe haven from the harsh realities of life. There's a rare kind of piece in Endurance.
The Bachelors of Shell Cove are my absolute favorite mash up of power, money, sex, and scandal. The characters remind me of a late night dramas from the 1980's - Dallas, Dynasty, Knots Landing. They are fun to watch.
J. R. Ward's The Black Dagger Brotherhood. I love these vampires! Plus, as a trained nurse, I'm sure I could be a job in Doc Jane's clinic.

I have experience in workplace diversity, specfically in large medical facilities. I enjoy dealing with the issues surrounding the diversity of economics, education, geography and race. My debut novel, CHASING AVA focused on economic diversity. Though Logan and Ava are an interracial couple, color was not a central theme in their story.

Wow! This is a difficult question to answer. I start my day with prayer, and then I go to work. I'm a storyteller, that's my inspiration. My head is full of talented, but flawed women and men; they want their stories to be heard. They are my inspiration.

As a writer, I have the unique ability to creatively control the world–the world of my story. Creating a work of fiction is akin to filling a time capsule. I give life to a character and a place in time.
The reader experiences a character's journey from beginning to end–an escape from the uncetainly of real life with the satisfying ending that we all want for ourselves.
A life that begins and ends within 300 pages, a time capsule of words and images. That's a pretty cool super power to have!

Think of your first draft as a gift to yourself. You can write anything scene you want because no one will see your first draft. Your first draft does not have to be perfect. Have fun with your characters. Write the wild and crazy conflicts that test their limits and yours. Drafting is not the time for story revision. Finish writing the book, first!

I have never struggled with writer's block. I hear my characters' voices a lot when I'm a manuscript. My hardest decision is which scenes will remain in the final manuscript.
