Bart Peters Great question, Darlene. ALL of it was a personal journey exploring the Bible. For about a decade, I tried to explain things I was seeing in my own research and study. But no one could accept it at face value. So I concocted the story to get the reader "out of his own head", so to speak, and look at these issues as an outside observer.

Also, I do have a sequel in the works. I'm doing research still on the main character: Solomon. It will be called "The Alien Apostle and Solomon's Curse". Every time I get positive feedback, I get a little more motivated to finish the next book.
Bart Peters For me, the ideas come faster than my ability to put them down on paper. Sometimes I have to write just to keep the ideas from rattling around in my head. It's satisfying to see the ideas come to life on the page.
Bart Peters The sequel to Alien Apostle, called Solomon's Curse.
Bart Peters It's a tough business. Getting a book published is hard enough. Selling books is even tougher! When I figure it out, I'll offer some advice. One thing I will say is "don't give up!"
Bart Peters It's cool to hand people that you know a book and get their reaction like, "No way, you wrote a book!"
Bart Peters I typically didn't have a problem this. I only wrote when I was inspired, because I didn't have a deadline. My book went through around 30 rounds of editing, so it was more important to get content down than for it to be perfect. Much of my inspiration to make a quote more impactful and memorable came through the editing process.
Bart Peters I was doing research for a book contrasting the Old Law and the New Covenant in Christ when something shocking was revealed to me. I asked the Lord if it was legitimate, and he answered me in a dream. I tried to describe the revelation through straight-forward exposition, but no one could/would accept it. I realized I had to take the reader on the same journey of discovery that I went through -- and so was born my first work of fiction.
