Eleanor Musgrove This doesn't always work, but I like to give it a go - when I can't write, when my thoughts are scattered and my mind won't stay focused, when I find myself playing dull, repetitive Facebook games rather than doing something productive - I use a trick I've been inadvertently falling foul of since my schooldays and only recently learnt to use.
I find something else I should be doing, and I put off doing that by writing. It's amazing how many words come flowing out when I've decided I should be emptying the dishwasher, loading the washing machine, or painstakingly analysing my bank statements. Of course, by that point the house is a tip, I'm eating off of napkins and I'm flat broke, but I know how to fix that - I just make writing my priority again and ta-da! The jobs get done.
Eleanor Musgrove Beatrice and Benedick from Shakespeare's 'Much Ado About Nothing', definitely. I love their snarky back-and-forth, the way they don't let each other get away with anything, the amount of fun they have winding each other up - and then when it comes down to it, when something terrible happens, they stick together and support one another.

They don't pretend that each other are perfect, and they're not afraid to disagree - far from it - but they really love each other and by the end of the play it's so clear that they're meant to be together. I just love them.
