You can plan, you can talk about writing, you can make a bazillion outlines, you can tell yourself that today is the day, you can purposely set aside time to do it... but until you actually sit down and write, you're not accomplishing what you want to get done. This is gonna sound corny, but the best thing an aspiring writer can do is sit down and write. Ooh--look! Shiny!

I've always been fascinated by the idea that spirits are all around us. It's the one supernatural thing that people on a large scale believe COULD exist. Then one day the idea just sort of came to me. I thought that the concept of a story told in alternating chapters between something who could communicate with the dead and someone who could investigate the matters of the living was a fascinating and unique idea. From there, everything else just fell into place.

I've currently bouncing back and forth between "The Messengers" series and my Fantasy/sci-fi series, "The Raven of Dusk", which is kind of a hybrid of Star Wars and Games of Thrones. The first installment of "The Raven of Dusk" will be out early Spring of 2015.
