The story of Brooklyn and Daniel came to me one day while I was taking a shower. Brooklyn was screaming in pain and I had to jump out and get writing. With The Bleeding Heart, this happened a lot.

I watch movies and read a lot. There's nothing more fun than losing yourself in a story, no matter whose it is. If that doesn't work, I talk it out with my writer friends. Sometimes we can't see our way out of a dead end in our own stories, so the perfect solution is asking a friend what they think. Even if you don't go with their solution, it typically gets the wheels turning again.
