The two main characters from Warren Murph's The Destroyer series, Remo Williams and his mentor/surrogate father Chuin. Their relationship is a complex one, and thus more realistic. Possibly the best "couple" in fiction.

I try to have every aspect mapped out in my outline as well as in my head. I also allow myself breaks so I can recharge. When writers block pops up, I take a step back and look to where I'm going and figure out how to get there from where I'm at.
