Hi Kendra!
Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you!! Oh the dreaded writer's block. Most of the time, I'll walk away from a story for a bit. Play with my kids, make dinner, and then either after a run or a shower (both great places for brainstorming, IMHO), I am usually able to come up with where I want to go next.
If writer's block persists, I take it as a sign to take a longer break and work on something different :)
