It doesn't really matter how good or bad your work is, its your creation and its come from within you. Its an art form and each work is an original.

Right at this moment I'm working on recovering from rotator cuff surgery on my left shoulder...so my typing speed is 'painfully' slow. In approximately 5 weeks when I discard the sling things will liven up a little and I'll write a few poems and perhaps commence a new novel.

I started writing poetry...only interested in poems that rhyme. Then the idea for a novel started to form and ended up as Programmed To Kill. So its my first attempt at a novel..don't be too harsh. There will be another and it will be better but u have to start somewhere. At any rate my first is OK and its only the price of a cup of coffee. As for my poems I'm quite proud of one or two of them. As regards inspiration, that just happens over time, e.g. whilst on a walk a bicycle ride etc..

It was probably the result of my having served in the Vietnam campaign as part of my National Service commitment during 1966/67. The mateship and tendency to watch each others backs was a strong ideal amongst veterans of my era. That's one theme that runs throughout the storyline of "Programmed To Kill"
