I think my favourite fictional couple must be Elizabeth and Mr Darcy...not very original I am sure but I love the tensions in their conversations and when they come together it's wonderful.

Hi Richard,
I suppose it took about three years, but I had lots of re drafts it being my first novel.Mind you the next one is progressing slowly as well,so maybe I am just a slow writer. I know they say you should just keep going with a novel and then redraft but i can't do that,i tend to do a lot of redrafting as i go along and then again at the end! How about you/

Free to Be Tegan was inspired partly by my own upbringing in a strict religious group but I did a lot of research. I wanted to locate the story in Wales and was inspired by visiting the Cambrian Mountains.

I was told that writer's block can simply be a symptom of lack of confidence in your writing. I have found the comments on my first novel a great encouragement to get on with my second.

I am writing a book set at Rhossili Bay on the Gower peninsula in South Wales in the summertime. It has lots of twists and turns and I hope it will be as well received as Free to Be Tegan has been on amazon.co.uk
