Norah Wilson Thanks for asking, Brenda. The first book is A Fall from Yesterday. And the third book in the trilogy (the first of many under the Hearts of Harkness banner!) is called Promise Me the Stars. That one comes out March 1.
Norah Wilson Amelie, sorry to be so long getting back to you. I've been in my writer's cave. I can't say all my heroines are like Paige, but I strive to make them all smart, confident and very capable in their own fields. Maybe Sam in my paranormal romance Nightfall might be the closest in personality to Paige. I know sometimes RS readers don't like to cross over to PNR, but as I'm so fond of telling people, I write the paranormal stuff *exactly* like I write the romantic suspense. Same adrenaline ride, but with vamps. :) Thanks for the question. I hope the rest of Protecting Paige held up for you!
Norah Wilson Thanks for the question, Jessica! The concept for this story basically came to my writing partner, Heather Doherty, as a sort of dream/vision when we were at a cottage by the lake. By the time she finished telling me about the dark caster forms peeling away to go soaring through the night, I had to pull the black out blind on my window when I went to bed. I would have freaked if I'd seen so much as a bat flutter past. True story!
Norah Wilson Study the craft, yes, but never stop writing. If you're like me, you'll need to write hundreds of thousands of words - millions, maybe - before you feel like you've mastered story-telling to a sufficient degree. Oh, and read lots too, and try to analyze the books you love. What makes them work?
Norah Wilson I'm currently working on a contemporary romance. It's been a long time since I tried my hand at a straight contemporary. I tend to write romantic suspense or paranormal romance where there's lots of danger and an urgent external plot to power things along. This should be fun.
Norah Wilson I actually got the idea from a doctor, who shall remain nameless. ,-) Basically, he gave me the idea for the perfect murder. Then I had to figure out a way to put it into play.
