I don't know if it's the best thing, but one good thing about it for me is that I'm an introvert with extrovert tendencies. Sometimes I just need to be by myself. Sometimes that feels hard to justify to people. But if I tell them I'm writing, I'm cool.
The other thing, and probably more to the question, when I write I feel like what I produce is like giving birth to something. I'm proud of it. I want people to see it. It scratches then inner need to create.

Here is a story I wrote that has some truth in it. It was the foundation for History Yoghurt and the Moon...and so was the real event, which was slightly different.
