Kenneth Behr Find the path that is right for you. There is a lot of advice about how to write (i.e. 3 pages a day is is a 270 page book in three months) that won't work for everyone. Start off by writing what you know about the most. Choose either fiction or nonfiction but get the first project done and learn from the experience.
Kenneth Behr I've enjoyed being able to have more freedom in my schedule. I can travel, meet up with friends, spend a few weeks up north at the lake and still have the excuse that "I'm working!"
Kenneth Behr If I find that I just can't get to a project or I'm blocked I use what always works....my calendar. It's my calendar that gets too full that often leads to writer's block. I find a way to block off a few days and find a place where I'm very comfortable and get back to work.

Kenneth Behr I love to write but need time. To get inspired, I need to clear my calendar, shut off the distractions and spend some quality time. One of the places I like to write is on vacation, up north, in Michigan.
