What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?
C.J. Fosdick I have been doing some ancestry research that located 2 half aunts and an uncle I didn't know I had. We are all now connected on Social Media and learning about our shared relative--their late father, the grandfather I never met who thrived in the Depression era in a part of Wisconsin called "Gangster's Paradise."

I loved your story in Blossoms and Blizzards. How did you captured the essence of Minnesota culture and humor? Did you live there at one time? Keep on writing Cj. You have a real talent.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
C.J. Fosdick It's a reverse pre-quel to another book yet to be published with some of the same characters in an earlier time period. I love 19th Century American history because of all the physical and emotional changes encompassed by Manifest Destiny. My writing inspiration is Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series. I love her characters, the adventure, and the way she sweeps through several genres in her books.I am also very intrigued by reincarnation and time travel.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
C.J. Fosdick Hardly ever have it, but if I feel "stuck," I take time off to read something I admire, take a break with another creative activity, zone out with brainstorming at bedtime. Solution usually comes to me by morning.

C.J. Fosdick Being your own boss, seeing your words come alive, thrilling to the reception you get from entertaining readers.

What are you currently working on?
C.J. Fosdick Now that the Accidental trilogy is published, and the short novelette on audio, Hot Stuff, I plan to work on a Christmas tale for WRP and edit an anthology of all my published and award-winning short stories, some that inspired the novels or were edited excerpts.
