I grew up in California and stayed with my sweet grandma in Meadow Vista each summer. It was idyllic in every way. It was my favorite place in the whole world. I also think that anywhere there's a forest and mountains and lakes and rivers...there's got to be a romance there!

Never give up. Keep writing. Don't stop writing. Learn all you can about the craft. Read all you can in the genre you love and write in that same genre.

I think the best thing about being a writer is having an honest-to-goodness finished product. It's such an accomplishment for me to actually FINISH something. I have half-painted walls, half-finished scrapbooks, embroidery projects, etc. When I hold my book in my hand, I can say, "I did it. I really did it!"
