You've GOT to realize your self-worth isn't tied to your work. You've got to get yourself out of the funk by stimulating your mind. Look at good art, go for a scenic drive. Sit in the forest. Look at old pictures. Give yourself time, too. It will come. Mostly, just sit down and write. Even if it's garbage, it's like Picasso said--inspiration comes, but it has to find you working.

I usually create a soundtrack, if you will, that inspires me to write for different characters. Inspiration can hit anywhere, though. Usually, when I least expect it.

Currently working on a YA fantasy novel. Lots of world-building to do, and I love the characters already. I'm also finishing up a YA historical fiction book, with co-author, Elizabeth Grace Cannon Romeril, which should make its debut this year.
