Joyce Tremel I found that typo when I was proofing the book and the copy editor was supposed to fix it. Ugh. I don't know why they didn't. I've started writing the next book but I haven't heard back from the publisher whether or not they want another one. If not, I'll probably take it elsewhere.
Joyce Tremel I wish! I miss it too! The publisher didn't extend the series past the third book. I'm working on some proposals for new series, so I hope to have news in the coming months. Thanks for reading!
Joyce Tremel I have part of a fourth book written, but as of now, the publisher has not extended my contract beyond the third book. I would love to continue the series and my agent has been looking into other options. In the meantime, I'm working on some proposals for new series. I really mix Max, Jake, and friends though!
Joyce Tremel That's a tough question! There are several (other than my own Max and Jake!).

At the top of the list would be Ollie and Gav in Julie Hyzy's White House Chef series. They had a great chemistry and even in the first book when they kept butting heads and Ollie was involved with someone else, I had a feeling they'd end up together.

Another favorite couple is Zoe and Pete in Annette Dashofy's Zoe Chambers mysteries. Both are very independent, yet a perfect match--even if they don't always see it.

Yet another is Nora and Mick from Nancy Martin's Blackbird Sisters mysteries. They were just plain fun, even though I wanted to knock their heads together at times and tell them to stop being so stubborn.
Joyce Tremel Thanks! I'm glad you like the series. I'm hoping it continues for a long time, but it's up to the publisher. Hopefully they'll want more.

When I was trying to come up with the proposal for the series, I wanted to do something that hadn't been done yet in a cozy mystery. I love beer, and there are many brewpubs and craft breweries in Pittsburgh. I wanted my main character to be independent, yet family-oriented. Before too long, Max was born! I think we'd be good friends if she were real.
Joyce Tremel Yes! Right now it's scheduled for release on October 3, 2017.
Joyce Tremel I'm currently working on book 2 in the Brewing Trouble series.
