I have been writing a few stories since last few years, this book: Pregnancy and Men, was the first project that I was able to finish fully. Next one is a science fiction that I am working on. As I said, writing is not my full-time activity; I am trying to work on my other stories as I get my time at night. But writing indeed is something I love and is a very creative process and being able to have the power to influence the world and make it a better place one reader at a time makes me keep typing.

It happens all the time, no kidding. You have to realize though that your brain can not stay on track with creativity as and when you want it. It goes up and down. Its very natural. There is nothing to be sad about when you feel you are not feeling creative when you want to be.
For me, creativity comes in bits and pieces, you wait for it, but human brain is super amazing thing, if you are working on something, it will keep thinking about it in the background, even if you are not actively thinking about it. And it will give you some awesome thoughts in random times, at random places. All you do is, make a note of it somewhere, and refer back when you actually work on it. All the creative juices will start flowing again.
Its not really a block, think of it as a tunnel, there is always a light at the end :)

Hello aspiring writers,
If you have an idea, please start writing it down as it flows in your mind. You can always edit or re-structure it later.
But just thinking that one day you will write a book, does not help. Start working towards it. For me, writing is still an hobby, i work full time in computer industry, so after a day's work is all done and all family needs taken care of, then night time is mine. Having small writing goals each day worked.
You may not finish the book in the timeline you have decided, but keep working towards it. Initially, when i started writing, i thought i will finish my book in couple of months, but when you think that your writing will be read by a lot people all around the world, and when you realize your writing can influence people in variety of ways, then you keep on improving what you wrote until a point is reached where you are completely comfortable publishing.
But writing is only 1 of 3 things needed in book publishing. 2nd is book formatting, layouts, and selecting a book cover. and 3rd is marketing.
Without #2 and #3, you may have written the greatest book, but it will be lost as tears in the rain.
But #2 and #3 comes a lot later, for the first part, get your pen/laptop and start writing ...
My best wishes to your book projects.

'Pregnancy and Men' was not part of my bucket list to be honest. The efforts started as a small write up to genuinely help a few of my friends to help them with their own pregnancy planning. When I finished about 20 pages, I felt that there will be more questions, so I wrote a bit more and more and turns out its about 100 something pages. That made me thinking about publishing. After 9-10 months of after-work late night writings, 16 of my personal drafts and 2 professional editing drafts, it turned out to be something that can be used by many and have a potential to make a good difference in their lives. So decided to publish it to help all first time fathers and couples who are in need of a better and positive pregnancy planning.
