Just go for it! If your aspirations are truly to share your story (ies) and vision; I say to go for it. Beyond the business side of being a writer, I believe that if you have a calling to write; then you should absolutely do it. Take your time, enjoy and always remember who your audience is.

I find writing to be both cathartic and fun. The moment I am pencil to paper my creative juices begin to flow and memories that I may thought were long lost, reappear. Writing allows an outlet to be my absolute self without constraints. Not everything has to be published, but sometimes you just need to get it out...and for the material that is written for an audience - hopefully it inspires and is meaningful to the reader.
