J.C. Rice I'd say Changeover #3 will come out this Feb. and after that I'm undecided. I haven't decided what novel I will publish next.
J.C. Rice Well, I'm not going to get rich writing children's novels. The money I do make will go back into publishing and promoting my other books. I plan to publish all thirteen and more after that.
J.C. Rice My students have always inspired me, pushed me, prodded me, and begged me to write more and more books. I'm not complaining. Reading my books every year to my students is magical.

Things are different now that I have a daughter. I can't wait to read her all of my books, but for now we are reading picture books galore.
J.C. Rice Yes and double yes.

I've already written thirteen books. For now, I am going to both start publishing those AND writing new books as well.

I'm going to be busy.
J.C. Rice I am currently tweaking Edward Changeover #3: The Turkish Tower Goblin.

After that I will go back to working on third book in my super hero, secret agent, and mad scientist series. That series will be rolled out next spring???

I also have the idea/concept for sequels to a few of my other books and then I want to write the fourth and fifth Changeover books. Basically, I have too many books to write.
J.C. Rice Writing is a skill. You improve a skill through dedication, practice, and seeking the advice and help of others. That and read, read, read. You will soon figure out what kind of a writer you want to be and what kind of stories you want to write.
J.C. Rice When I was a kid I read non-fiction, but I always loved both fantasies and historical fiction.
J.C. Rice The third Changeover book will be out this coming September or October.

J.C. Rice I enjoy both, although when it comes to kid's books I do tend to prefer fiction.

When it comes to writing, I LOVE fiction.
J.C. Rice I go back and read aloud a section what I've already written.

For instance, if I'm stuck in the middle of chapter fifteen, I will go back to, say, chapter ten and read. This gets me back in the flow so that by the time I hit chapter fifteen again I frequently burst through that wall they call writer's block.

Of course, sometimes that doesn't work and I have to do it multiple times.
J.C. Rice I love reading to children--especially my own works. Every year I read all of my novels to my students. Every day, every time is a magical event. Sharing my stories with them is simply like nothing else.
