As the lone woman in a room full of men throughout most of my corporate career here in Silicon Valley, I kept my private life VERY private. How old are you? What do you do on weekends? Are you married? Have kids? Why don't you have photos on your desk like everyone else? I drove my co-workers crazy!
Why might a woman keep these personal details secret? Ah, many a plot line could be developed about this mystery woman, especially seen through the eyes of a male protagonist. And, with the high-tech tools available and privacy debates swirling around Silicon Valley, there are many answers making for a timely suspense thriller. In fact, my next suspense thriller will indeed have a woman-of-mystery driving the story forward, as her haunting past comes back to hurt her.
