Being able to see a story come to life right before your very eyes. It's great to be able to read a good book, but it's absolutely AMAZING writing your own story. When you know you've had a great writing session and you close the lid on your laptop and smile...nothing like it.

I would tell any aspiring writer to just get it done. When I was calling my friends and family and having them read my story for me, before I published, I was also encouraging them to give it a shot of their own. I have some pretty smart friends and family and I know that they each have a unique story to tell, something they can offer the masses, so I encourage them to consider it. I always tell them, it's a lot of work to do this right, but it's well worth it in the end and the pride that you feel afterwards just can't be replicated.

I'm working on a novella about a young woman who's a work-a-holic. A friend hooks her up with a guy she knows, a real playboy who she thinks can be tamed by her friend, and of course drama ensues. It should be fun.

Great music inspires me to write. I enjoy the way music makes me feel. It can make us happy, sad, excited, angry, just so many things. I usually write to some type of music. Sometimes it's Classical, other times it's rock, often soul and occasionally it's country. Just depends on where I need to "go" in order to get the words on the page.

It just sort of came to me. I live in New York City and the experience of living here has affected me so deeply. I wanted to write about the city, its tempo, its people, and banking is such a huge part of it all. I knew I wanted to write a romance novel, but I'm also a big lover of suspense, so I was excited to be able to write a romantic suspense that I think readers will enjoy.
