Peter Hill I have always enjoyed the concept of future fiction in the thriller genre but many post-apocalyptic stories did not seem to me to be rooted in the real-politic of present international socio-politico-economic structures. So I set out to treat with how, more realistically, an apocalyptic scenario might develop and thereafter how post-pandemic societies might evolve.

Or possibly, it just appeared in my head one day. It was in the Zeitgeist.
Peter Hill There comes a time when you just have to do it or your head gets clogged up with undigested stories and becomes inefficient at working on important problems like selecting the correct wine to go with your fish.

Also, running out of money is a great help
Peter Hill I am presently working on the third book in the Evolution's Path series, which is a future fiction series. The first two, Killing Tomorrow and The Ladies' Game are available as eBooks and paperbacks from Amazon.

'The Pleasure House', the third in the series is due out in 2016.
Peter Hill No-one can teach you to write. You either have that spark or you do not. However, you can be taught the basics of, for example, dramatic construction, character development, plot arcs, all that boring but essential stuff.
Above all keep writing. Keep writing. Keep writing.
Peter Hill The best thing is that anyone can be a writer so long as you do it for the pure enjoyment of story telling.
Being a professional writer is different but even more pleasurable, especially if and when someone actually pays you for doing something you would do anyway for nothing!
Peter Hill If you are completely blocked then probably you have gone astray somewhere in your construction so go back to the basics and work the story through again.
If this does not work try drifting off to sleep whilst holding the problem in your mind. Works a treat for me!
