Most recent book is DANCING ON THE EDGE. the idea was to write a novel about a 12 yr old girl who suffers a great loss and how she reluctantly gets her life more or less back together. Most of the book takes place in England, which was an indulgence for me, as I was able to describe some of my favorite places there. My understanding of grief and recovery comes from my years as a pediatric oncology nurse.

Think of something else. Get up and pace around. Pretend it isn't happening and just keep typing. My daughter made me a little book of 50 ways to fight writer's block and I posted a bunch of them on my blog on my website kitbakke.com.
