When is the 3rd book of the Carmine series coming out?
Alan Janney The final book in the Outlaw/Carmine saga should release in late summer of 2018. I'm PUMPED.

Alan Janney Melissa, I picked Cinder because both books are about girls trying to be fully alive. To wrestle with responsibility and love. =)

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Alan Janney Write two stories. 50,000 words each minimum. Have a professional editor glance at them and identify your most glaring weaknesses. Tinker. Improve. Write one more 50,000 word story. Have a different editor look it over. Identify mistakes, tinker, improve. Now you're ready to get started as a writer. Drink lots of coffee.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Alan Janney I've never really struggled with this. Nothing more than small hitches, often because I'm unsure how to transition. It's not because I'm brilliant (though, let's be honest...) but rather because I have the entire series planned (roughly) and my writing is usually light-hearted and shallow. Also, I clamp the headphones tight and crank the music.
