Kenneth I. Altman She typed furiously, sweat pouring down her scalp, focusing on every word in the greatest story she'd ever written. She cried out in agony as her fingers bled and her bones cracked but she couldn't stop typing because the Story would never ever allow her to end.
Kenneth I. Altman Honestly I am almost always writing (in my head). I don't lack inspiration. I lack time and motivation.

Inspiration is not the same as motivation. Inspiration is the creative juices (I hate that term but use it anyway) that allows me to create. Motivation is the desire to take the time to sit down and write when I could be doing other things.

I would write all the time if I could. I love writing. But I also have a full-time job, I am a father of two amazing kids, I am a husband, and the Blacklist is on.

If my writing career can actually become a career, then I would be happy writing every day for hours. But right now, it's not paying the bills, so I do what I can when I can.

But I am always inspired. I am always thinking. I have worlds blooming in my mind all the time, just waiting to come out.
Kenneth I. Altman Right now I have an idea for 3 other stories outside of the Citadel Series. At least for 2 of them, I have most of the story written in my head right now. Thankfully I have not been cursed with Writer's Block before.

Mostly what I have been hindered by is time. I wish there was more time to write. That is something I don't have a good fix for. In the end I know it is mostly a problem I create for myself. If I really tried, I would find the time to write more.

So perhaps it's not Writers Block I need to be wary of. It's motivation.
Kenneth I. Altman Creating worlds and seeing them come to life beyond my initial expectations. Also I love the people I write, many of them who are real to me.
Kenneth I. Altman I am working on the prologue and full edit of the second novel in the Citadel Series : Black Moon Falling Book Two - The Hall of Nations.

The book is already written, but needed a better prologue. I am hoping the editing process can be completed this year!
Kenneth I. Altman A dream of hiding under a bridge with a meeting taking place above it. I discuss this and how it developed into the Citadel Series in the "From the Writer" section at the end of the novel "The Stonemetal Gate".
