My answer is not so much one of mystery, but of intrigue. My grandmother grew up in the post prohibition era and once filled in on a date for her sister..the man she dated was Legs Diamond the notorious bootlegger! I know there's a story there!

My favorite fictional couple? I would have to say Scarlett and Rhett. I can remember watching Gone With The Wind with my mother and sisters on our old TV way back in the 1970's. And then I purchased a second edition of the book and read it from cover to cover, twice. Now mind you the book was published using double columns on each page. I know they didn't get together at the end, so technically it's not an HEA book until the sequel was written many years later. But I think a lot of romance authors cut their teeth using the GMC techniques from that book.

I would have to say the Industrial Revolution. How much fun would it have been to have been alive during that time period. So many wonderful inventions came out during those days.

I am a historical writer, through and through. My historical voice, for what ever reason, has always been stronger than my contemporary voice.

I can't write to music with lyrics because I usually end up singing along and then not writing!! Sometimes if I need to center my muse, I will put on Spa type music. And I'm so happy you loved my book, Gina. Thank you so much and thank you for taking the time to ask me a few questions.

I discovered that there were quite a few female Pinkerton agents. Which really surprised me.

My inspiration comes from many places. Sometimes it's a place I visit or meeting a person who tells me an interesting anecdote. I love reading small town newspapers, I've actually picked up a few story ideas from those.

Right now I'm preparing for the July 2016 release of my historical, inspirational novel, A Changed Agent (Waterfall Press). So I'm knee deep in edits and marketing. I'm also working on ideas for the next book in the series.

The best thing about being a writer is I get paid to create fiction. I love writing and couldn't imagine doing anything else...okay maybe I'd like to be a NASCAR driver.

Writer's block is an unfortunate side-effect of being an author. Sometimes you just have to take a step back from the project. I find if I start sorting through all those stacks of paper on my desk, and clean out a few closets it usually helps to free up my creativity.

My advice for aspiring writers is simple; first learn your craft. Anyone can write a decent book, but if you know the craft of writing your books will be great ones. So learn your craft.

The idea for A Changed Agent (Waterfall Press July 2016) came to me a few years ago. I had this idea about a hero who is not happy with his life, but knows he needs to fulfill his obligations as a Pinkerton Agent. And the heroine, even though she thinks she's ready to be a spinster really wants to settle down. I love writing historical romance and I enjoy setting my books in one of my favorite locations, the Adirondack Mountains of New York State.
