The books center around party planner Liv McKay, her job and relationships—and how dead bodies keep turning up to complicate her life!
Although very different from Liv in appearance and personality, Di Souther is Liv’s best friend and partner in crime. Motivated by friendship and a fierce protective streak for those they care about, the two women brave the perils of breaking and entering, off-key karaoke—and whatever else comes their way—as they dig up secrets and unravel mysteries in the deceptively sweet little town of Dixie, Tennessee.
Liv’s loving husband who spends his off hours ripping holes in walls and disabling plumbing in their fixer-upper Victorian, a handsome sheriff who has eyes for Di—but doesn’t seem to appreciate Liv and Di’s help with his investigations, Liv’s larger than life mama who has a penchant for drama, and a variety of colorful characters round out the cast.

My first book in the Liv and Di in Dixie series, Death Crashes the Party, comes out Dec. 29, 2015. But I'm currently writing Book 3! That's pretty typical of lead times in the publishing world.
I've already turned in Book 2—It's Your Party, Die If You Want To, which will be released October 2016—to my editor at Kensington.
