Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Philip Rennett During a couple of weeks storm chasing in Texas. Experiences from that trip needed a wider audience! After writing one satirical novel, then realising there was an obvious sequel and writing that one as well, I realised tornado hunting would fit nicely into book three - which it did!

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?
Philip Rennett Near Kirriemuir in the Scottish highlands is a summit on at high hill called Craig Rennet. When I asked in the local library if they had any records on the history of the area and the source of the names used, the assistant I was talking to turned to her burly, heavily bearded associate who said there were no such records a bit too quickly for my liking. Something's afoot!
