Synclair Stafford That is a tough one. I find something else to do with my brain for a bit (puzzles, reading), and even going to a museum, or a historical place helps bring me back around to what I want to write. I also study people and the way they communicate and function around me. Sometimes, interactions help me create new scenes and move others forward.
Synclair Stafford I get to transport myself into a world of my own creation, imagine my own characters, and learn interesting tidbits along the way (history). When I've had a long day, losing myself in my story soothes and calms me. Not only that, I get to share my stories with other readers! I just want everyone to be as happy about my story as I am.
Synclair Stafford Keep going! If you think you have a story to write, no matter the subject, write it down. You can always go back and fine-tune it. There are other writers and editors out there who can help you hone your writing skills. As writers, I think we're always learning and honing our skills. KEEP GOING.
Synclair Stafford I'm currently working on Pirate's Progeny Book 2 (historical romance), a modern-day paranormal romance, and a modern-day young adult/teen romance.
Synclair Stafford I visit historical places like plantations, museums, read historical non-fiction, search Pinterest for pictures, and MUSIC! Music is my biggest inspiration.
Synclair Stafford I have a fascination of pirates, and read many stories of female pirates. Anne Bonny intrigued me because at the time, her final ending was mostly unknown. How interesting to know a female survived among such bloodthirsty and physical male pirates. I liked the idea of giving her a happy ending.
