I think it might be Richard and Kahlan from 'The Sword of Truth' series. I say that because they persevered through many challenges, and because I admire how far they would go for each other. Plus Kahlan wasn't a damsel in distress. She protected him at times and more than held her own in fights. I would want a partner who had my back and I didn't have to constantly worry about.

(view spoiler)[The spirit walker series was inspired really by me and my good friend going hiking in an area near my house called Pocket wilderness. Its land that was used for coal mining that was later donated back to the state. Theres a creek that flows through it, and an old aquefor. Being there gives you a mystical or supernatural feeling, at least it did to me. I have always like to imagine that I or people could leave their bodies and explore the world around them as spirits, so I just used the area I live in as the backdrop to tell the story. I am inspired by everything around me. The people I have met and the places I have gone continue to inspire me. Everyday I hear or see something that makes me say "Hey that would be a great scene in a story".

I am currently working on the second book in "The Spirit Walker" series. I am close to publishing it, maybe early March. I must say that in my opinion its better than the first. I am taking all the feedback people are giving me and trying to improve the presentation and flow of my stories. Hopefully I will work on the the third and final book of the series soon. Beyond that I have been putting an outline together for a fantasy novel that I will devote the last half of this year on.

Well I am still aspiring myself, but if someone wants to write I say go for it! I wanted to do this for years, but held myself back from something that had been inside me since I was a child.

The best thing about being a writer is getting to put all the thoughts running through my mind down on paper. It is so freeing to see it all come together into a coherent story.

I step away for a while, and do something else. Sometimes its excercise or meditation, but i think just taking time away to let your mind rest is what works best.
