Sarah Zolton Arthur This is a hard one. There are so many book worlds that I'd love to visit. Hmm... I'd have to say Outalander because Highlanders in kilts. It would be fun to travel the countryside and see the everyday lives of the people in the early 1700s. Plus, I'd like to take a crack at cooking in one of those old kitchens.
Sarah Zolton Arthur Yes! I'm currently working on the next couple stories. Next up in the Brimstone Lords Series is At Last. Believe it or not, the gruff, straight-talking Lords' President Duke Ellis has taken an interest in the vibrant, red haired Dr. Caitlin Brennan. And let me just say, Duke brings a whole lot of sweet and spicy to Caitlin's world. Which, they both need, because any connection to the Lords can mean danger.
Sarah Zolton Arthur Well, Summer is a busy writing time for me because I can stay up late and don't have to set an alarm to get the boys to school. But when I want something light and fun with a bit of hot schmexy time, I go with author Heather Young-Nichols. I adore her Up For Grabs series. And then there's Kristen Ashley. I'm a re-reader. And I lover her Rock Chick and Colorado Mountain Man Series.
Plus, I love me some bikers, which Kristen Ashley does with her Chaos MC Novels. Oh, and Katie Ashley's Vicious Cycle Series. Chantal Fernando's Wind Dragons MC. Fanning myself just thinking about them. And you know, a little shameless plug for myself, if anyone reads my list who has already read my favorite titles and thinks, "hmm... I wonder if there's any new MC books to fall in love with?" It's serendipitous that you should read this question because I have the first book in my new Brimstone Lords MC series releasing just in time for summer.
Lady Sings the Blues. Seriously, there's hot bikers, steamy romance and murder. What more could anyone ask for?
Okay, shameless plug over.
Sarah Zolton Arthur My mind is the most random place to be. Good thing I'm the only one who has to navigate through it. So long story longer, I get inspired by just about anything. Could be a dream I had, at night or a day dream. I often space off. Or I see something that grabs my attention, birds flying or people jogging in the park. Hear something on the news. Read an article. See, so totally random.
Sarah Zolton Arthur Ah yes, I'm so excited I've just finished Collin and Kip's story, Underside of Courage. You meet Collin and Kip in Other Side of Beautiful and they had a story worth sharing.
Next on the agenda is Kelly Prescott. She's Elle's roommate in OSOB. Kelly meets Spencer Inaba, a bo staff wielding computer nerd who wanted to be a ninja turtle as a kid.
Sarah Zolton Arthur Learn as much as you can about the publishing industry, marketing, branding, ect. And have a fallback like graphic design. The publishing industry isn't what it used to be and a writer is expected to wear many hats. Make sure those hats fit properly.
Sarah Zolton Arthur The best part about being a writer is actually getting to do what I love. Despite the headaches involved, because let's face it, there are headaches involved in everything even if you love it, I get to put my stories down for other people to read and hopefully enjoy. And I like the idea of giving enjoyment to others.
Sarah Zolton Arthur I have a couple of ways to combat writer's block. First, I write down any random idea that comes to my head, whether it's related to a book I'm writing or not. The act of writing sparks the brain and gets those brain juices flowing. The second way, especially if I have a deadline, is to read a book in the genre of what I'm writing in. For example, if I'm writing a contemporary romance, I pick up one of my favorite contemporary romances and reread it, thinking about my manuscript the whole while. This will get me going so I can usually put the book down and start writing again.
