Felicite Lilly This is probably one of the easiest questions I've ever had to answer. I get inspired to write when I have an idea. Duh! Let me clarify: Everything we do, say and see inspires us in some way. I was on a trip to Las Vegas with my sister and one of my best friends that inspired the last book I wrote. Experience is how I get inspired to write. Everyone has different outlets for what inspires them; running marathons, getting up and taking a walk, painting, sketching...mine just so happens to be writing. :)
Felicite Lilly Write often. Read as much as you write. Find time for other things (most of my ideas for a story come from places outside of me reading someone else's work and writing my own). If you love it, do it. When you love a story, it is obvious to others that you do. Get as many Beta readers and Editors as you can!
Felicite Lilly Currently working on Darkness (the second book in the Hunters series) as well as a standalone romance that has a working title of An Unknown Place.
Felicite Lilly I deal with writer's block by writing something else. By writing in a different world than the one I've submerged myself in. When that doesn't work, I read something. When that doesn't work I cry for a little bit, then come back to it. :)
Felicite Lilly Who doesn't love to create and control a world? Do I have a God complex? Outside of writing, no. At least not that I have recognized in myself. But I think every author has a little bit of a God complex.
