I simply go outside and look, feel and be present.

I am working on my third deck in my current series of Flower based oracle style cards and have nearly completed a nature focused complementing book.
There is also a series of illustrated inspirational titles that I am currently creating. This doesn't have a publisher at present and so I am back out there submitting and hoping, but working hard!

Everyone says it but it is TRUE! Don't give up!
I'm constantly surprised too listen to people's stories and see that they have only tried for a year or two. I wanted to write and illustrate Flower and Nature inspired Oracle cards and books for about 20 years and I worked on my first with deliberate intention for 9 years. Once I started submitting and talking to people, it was about 3 years until I was finally signed to a Publisher. I found the time and I worked hard. I made lots of mistakes and I have entire bodies of work and manuscripts that are the ancestors of the final work.
If you think you are working hard, I assure you, someone else is working harder and for longer than you!
WORK, do the work and don't stop doing it!

I think I'm lucky as I'm the author and the artist (illustrator) of all my own work. If I feel a block coming up, I just switch to the other medium (writing or art). Sometimes the day just isn't right though for anything and I find a walk in the fresh air, a shower and just playing with my art materials helps a lot.
I think somedays young to let go or expectations and see what happens. I've found the best moments and ideas have come from those 'blocked' moments.
