Write, write, and rewrite. Don't be afraid to trash a whole chapter if necessary. Sometimes it's easier to start writing and then go back and change the beginning. The most important thing is to just start writing!

I've written articles for newsletters for the past 15 or so years. I had no intention of writing a book, but a priest I knew was rather like the "hound of heaven" is pursuing me to write Through the Seasons with Jesus and Mary. I took him up on the challenge and guess what? Now I'm a published author! It makes me wonder what else I might attempt.

More than anything right now I'm working on marketing my book. I know Page Publishing has sent out their press releases, and they've been wonderful about that, but I've written for a niche market that I don't think was in their sights. So, I'm doing a lot of my own emailing and research.
