I have not had to deal with that yet because all my time right now is taken up with marketing. Maybe that will hit me once I get some sales and can start another book, but I already have a story in mind.

You can explore your imagination when you write---so many different types of books are out there, you don't have to limit yourself. Now I am finding out that in the marketing process, you make new contacts and acquaintances. People think writing is lonely but I am finding it more and more social.

Don't give up! I myself have tried to acquire a traditional publisher and it has not happened yet. I keep trying. I am promoting my eBooks on Facebook--and one of those writing groups turned me onto Goodreads. Keep an open mind about writing and marketing.

I am currently so busy trying to market my eBooks (hence my finding Goodreads) that even though I have a sequel in mind for one of them, I don't have the time right now to write it. Marketing is very tough and I am still at the very steep part of the learning curve regarding it. Once I can get some momentum with sales and readers, I can get to that sequel.

I co-wrote an absurd play back in high school. During my last job at the Los Angeles Housing Authority about nine years ago, an idea for a children's story struck me---and I just had to write it.

I grew up in Hermosa Beach, California and now I have been living in the Philippines for 2 1/2 years, and have had a good opportunity to experience the culture here. Somehow the contrast in cultures gave me an idea to write about two sisters living on opposite ends of the Pacific Ocean.
