In order to write beautiful stories, you need to read lots and lots of beautiful stories. I started writing poetry when I was very young. I worked up to a blog and finally tried my hand at a novel. I think it's simply a matter of keeping writing until someone wants to read your content.

I'm in the early stages of getting to know a few characters that are conspiring a plot for my next novel. I can tell you it involves an Italian art curator, her twin brother- a tattoo artist and a nosy journalist.....

In my case, it's a matter of characters taking up space in my mind and refusing to leave until their story gets told.

The entire process was a bit surreal. I was counting sheep one night and before I knew it I had done the complete outlay of my story. I didn't sleep a wink that night. The characters introduced themselves to me and from there they simply told their story. I love Clarens, so I told their story with Clarens in the back drop.
