S.J. Delos Write. Just write. Even if you think it's crap, it's probably not as bad as you think. And you'll only get better as you go along. Don't worry about making your work the greatest ever, just make it fun. Because, if it's fun for you to make, it'll be fun to those who read it.
S.J. Delos Honestly? Hearing back from readers that they really liked what I wrote. It means so much to know that something that gave me great pleasure to create gives others pleasure to enjoy. I think that's why all artists do what we do.
S.J. Delos Sometimes I'll stop trying to write the story that's giving me a problem and write something else, like taking one of the characters and tell a story about them going to the grocery store. Or the movies. That will usually get my imagination back on task.
S.J. Delos I've always been a fan of superheroes and superhero fiction. At one point in my life, I wanted to be a writer for either Marvel or DC. Instead, I decided to make up my own heroes and villains and poke a little fun at all the tropes prevalent in comics.
S.J. Delos I'm doing double duty at the moment. I'm working on the sequel to So Not a Hero and I'm putting a second round of edits on my YA fantasy piece entitled Darkening of the Light.
