Mark C. King Although the 'world' may not be fictional, the place certainly is: Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory! I've read the book and watched the movie many times and wish so much to indulge in all the sweets that are provided. In fact, just thinking about it makes me want some chocolate right now!
Mark C. King I am going to try out the Dark Tower series. Don't know much about it, but know some people who love it. (Plus the movie is coming soon...)
Mark C. King It may not be an orthodox answer, but my favorite couple is Sherlock Holmes and John Watson. The amazing ways that Holmes solves his cases is what gets most of the attention for Conan Doyle’s stories, but the relationship between Holmes and Watson is what pushes these stories into the realm of true classics. The arrogance of Holmes countered by the much humbler viewpoint of Watson creates a dynamic that is a pleasure to read.
Mark C. King In the story, Sigmund's niece was given the responsibility to name the horse. She was young at the time and decided upon Ham. This idea came from real life.
My actual niece (Hannah), when young, gave me a picture that she drew of a dinosaur. The name of that dinosaur was Ham. I asked why she named him Ham and she answered that she just liked the name. I found it quite humorous and was happy to incorporate this little experience in the story.
Mark C. King Reading. Although it inspires me in two ways:

1) Reading a great book makes me want to try and do it too. Not saying it is that easy, but I get great motivation from it.

2) Reading an awful book inspires me to do better. I may not be a great author, but I've read books that I know I could do better. May not be the best form of motivation, but it has helped me put pen to paper (so to speak)
Mark C. King A steampunk story that takes place primarily in a London Insane Asylum. I'm still in the outline phase (coming up with the story at a high-level), but am very excited with some of the thoughts.
Mark C. King Write. Just write. Don't dwell on being perfect, just keep writing. You can always go back and fix, edit, improve, but keep the momentum and write.
Mark C. King It is extremely satisfying to have an outlet for creativity. Regardless if anyone reads it, I am happy to produce a story from my own self.

If I create something that others enjoy, then wow!! Humbling and awesome at the same time.
Mark C. King I have two ways:

1) I bounce ideas off of friends - I love hearing different viewpoints.

2) I don't stress over it. Time will fix the problem, it always does.
