I know this isn't a literary couple (even if it is in a film about literature), but I really like the dynamic between Ruby and Calvin in the movie Ruby Sparks. I like how it starts out as one thing and then gradually becomes another and how it mirrors how things can happen to change feelings in a real life relationship. It's bittersweet and complex, poignant and devastating and ultimately teaches both partners something about the nature of love.

I usually keep a journal next to my bed which I put ideas in when I can't sleep or if I hit a creative mood. I might not use those ideas, but when I do get stuck, I go back to the journal and pull whatever I can use from it.

Never give in. If you're passionate about it, but feel stuck or frustrated, keep going. Even if it doesn't get published, don't do it for that reason. Do it for the love of writing and creating worlds and the people in them.

I've just finished writing my second novel, Future's Orphans. I'm in the editing phase and performing a few re-writes but it will be released by next month. Official release date to be advised.

It could be anything, from watching a documentary to remembering something that happened in my own life. I am a diverse reader and sometimes I'll read works where the author touches on a subject that I'm interested in but doesn't pursue it. Maybe I'll take the topic and expand it, exploring it until I reach a point where I'm satisfied.

I wanted to explore the reasons behind the choices we make in life. Whether it be a toss of the coin, or really thinking about what end point you wanted to achieve. In visiting past events, I wanted to see if they were worth changing or if even the "bad" events that happen to us serve a purpose.
